Roman’s European Style Tuckpointing Co., Inc., established in 1982, specializes in restoration services, exterior and interior, of residential and commercial buildings.

The company has specially designed trucks, completely equipped. All of our equipment, tools and materials have a place of their own, which allows us to do even a very small job quickly and economically.

Mortar is mixed by hand using sand, cement and lime in the right proportions for extra strength and durability. Then the color of the mortar is mixed carefully to better blend with the original color or any palette the customer requests.

All customer’s files and records of recipes of used materials and color of the mortar are kept for later reference. This makes it helpful when scheduling maintenance appointments every few years or for new jobs, which might arise.

The policy of our company is to complete the job to the customer’s satisfaction.

In over 40 years of business, most of our jobs come from customer referrals.

Our Services

Tuckpointing

Removing deteriorated mortar joints and filling in with fresh mortar, matching the original appearance or according to customer’s choice of style and of color.

Masonry

Brick works, stone works, concrete works, glass block installation, veneer stone installation, waterproofing. Deteriorated brick or stone replacement, glass block window installation.

Caulking

Recaulking; Expansion Joints; Recaulking - removing old cracked and damaged sealant and replacing it with a new one. Cutting new expansion joints and filling them with baker rod and sealant.

Lintel Replacement

Corroded and swelled steel window or door lintel (angle iron) replacement and repair of shifted up masonry.

Chimney Works

Rebuilding chimneys, replacing deteriorated bricks or stones, replacing damaged liners, chimney cap (crown) installation and chimney metal caps (flue liner covers) installation.

Fireplace

Building, repairs, replacement of damaged, cracked firebricks. Firebox tuckpointing - removing damaged and cracked firebox mortar and filling in fireplace mortar.

Roman and his assistant(s) tuck-pointed the large limestone blocks on two exterior walls of the house of worship where I served as executive director. The work they performed on this architecturally significant building was excellent. They perfectly matched the color of the existing mortar, and it is impossible to tell where the new work was done. The tuck-pointing has been in place for over 25 years, and it still looks perfect. Roman is a true professional, and I highly recommended him. A note about the cost: I simply don't remember, and the massive size of this job might not make the information relevant to your decision anyway
